As part of a cross-functional initiative for the the music company Audio Network, we were launching a YouTube Experiment which involved us creating multiple YouTube channels.
YouTube works very much in the same way as Google from an SEO and discoverability point of view. A channel’s relevancy, and therefore how likely YouTube is to surface their content to potential fans, is based off of a few indicators. We took advantage of this by creating specific channels for specific genres and situational musical themes.
The Objective: To create simple looping MP4s for each genre, one for single tracks and one for extended mixes.
